Meet Valerie
"Every experience I have ever had is an invitation to grow. What I've learned along the way is that change is a constant and truly a gift. And bottom line, attitude, intention and effort are the keys to success." Valerie Hartman
Yes, Valerie is a transformational coach. And she is so much more.
She's an Ivy-League educated attorney with 20+ years of experience on the global stage. She led the legal and government affairs team for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in Latin America, was a partner in an innovative cloud-based/virtual law firm and was an associate with one of New York's most prestigious firms. She played varsity tennis in college (Dartmouth) and represented the U.S. as she competed internationally on the junior tennis circuit. She's been at the heartbeat of significant political and philanthropic efforts locally (New York/Atlanta/Boston) and across the country.
Valerie leverages all of this as well as the highly respected iPEC Certification and her extensive personal and professional network to accelerate your positive and purposeful change for sustainable and rewarding success.
On a more personal note, Valerie is a native New Yorker, returning to New York City from Atlanta and Boston, and the proud Mom of three thriving children (her greatest teachers). She's a passionate supporter of the arts, education, sports and women's leadership, having served on multiple civic boards and advisory councils as well as worked on multiple political campaigns and causes both locally and nationally. She has a strong commitment to growing opportunities for young people (especially girls) in sports. To that end, Valerie is a member of the Board of the Harlem Junior Tennis and Education Program (HJTEP) as well as the Friends of East Lake First Tee Advisory Council, having served for 10 years as a founding member of the Friends of East Lake First Tee Board. She also helped form the original group that successfully negotiated and won the bid for a WNBA franchise team for Atlanta (The Dream).
Today, Valerie continues to be a passionate sports enthusiast, both playing and watching-with a particular love for golf, tennis, squash, running and hiking. Her latest focus-training/running marathons and half-marathons to raise money and awareness for charities. She’s a proud guide to Achilles International alt-abled athletes for a myriad of road races (including 2 New York City Marathons and counting!).
